The Stock Brokers' Association of Nepal (SBAN) recently facilitated a remarkable opportunity for representatives from various stockbrokers in Nepal, including our General Manager Jayant Srivastav, to participate in a workshop organized by the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) in India. The workshop, titled "Masterclass Program in Indian Financial Markets," was held from 4th to 8th September 2022, and provided deep insights into various aspects of the Indian financial markets.
Throughout the workshop, esteemed speakers from different departments of BSE shared their expertise on topics such as Margin Trading, Surveillance, Equity Derivatives, Algo Trading, Authorized Persons, and more. The sessions were not only informative but also interactive, allowing participants to engage with the speakers and gain valuable insights.
A highlight of the workshop was the visit to the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), where participants gained a deeper understanding of the regulatory framework governing securities markets in India. This visit provided valuable insights into the regulatory environment and the role of regulators in maintaining market integrity.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the speakers from BSE for their valuable time and knowledge sharing. Special appreciation goes to Mr. Nabaroon Chakraborty, Vice President of BSE Learning Institute, for organizing such a well-rounded and insightful workshop.
We also commend the efforts of SBAN for organizing such an impactful event, which provided us with the opportunity to learn about the technology, international practices, and operational mechanisms driving one of the world's fastest exchanges, BSE. The workshop was a testament to the importance of continuous learning and knowledge exchange in the ever-evolving field of financial markets.
Overall, the workshop was a valuable learning experience that has equipped us with a deeper understanding of the Indian financial markets, which we believe will benefit our operations in Nepal. We look forward to implementing the knowledge gained and contributing to the growth of the financial markets in our region.
